Tierheim Stables 2008 Club/Riding Stables Challenge

Prize money: N$ 5,000-00

A challenge to all riding Clubs in Namibia!

  1. This challenge runs over the next 8 training shows held at Tierheim Stables.
  2. Participating riders from all over Namibia may enter.
  3. A club/riding stable gets one point for every horse and rider combination taking part in a training show held at Tierheim Stables. A horse and rider combination can only represent one club/riding stable per participating show.
  4. At the end of 8 training shows the club/riding stables that supported their riders the most in taking part at the training show jumping shows at Tierheim Stables and thus having the most points will win the full N$ 5,000-00.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Hard hats compulsory!
  2. Class 1 and 2 – rosettes for clear rounds. For all other classes rosettes and prizes.
  3. Owners responsible for own feed. Please bring own water buckets.
  4. Entries N$ 15-00 per round when entered before closing date. Entries on the day allowed at N$ 20-00 per round.                      CLOSING DATE: 2nd May 2008.
  5. Refreshments and cash bar available.
  6. Training riding clothes allowed.
  7. Participants do not need to be members of NAMEF or any Riding Club.
  8. Stabling available on request.
  9. Tierheim Stables, the owners of the property, workers and organizers of this one-day practice show can and will not be held responsible for any damage or loss top riders, owners, parents, friends, animals and property what so ever.

Saving the horse....one hoof at a time

In the latest HQ is an article about corrective shoeing for horses that have or had laminitis. I contacted the farrier John Seggar and asked him to give a course on that. It can only help and be a huge profit to our farriers and
horse-people to help our horses.

The course will be held at Tierheim Stables (15km outside Windhoek - Airport direction) on 24th & 25th November 2007. (I know it's a bit of short notice)

Maximum cost per person would be N$ 500-00 to cover costs. We need about 15 participants.

Please let me know if you are interested AS SOON AS POSSILBLE, no later than 19th November 2007.
